Christine Ly brings over 10 years of experience as a personal trainer, working with clients across multiple countries and developing a broad perspective on movement, strength, recovery, and long-term physical health.
With a strong background in functional training and resistance exercise, Christine is passionate about helping clients move more efficiently, feel stronger, and perform at their best. She has also competed in bodybuilding, an experience that deepened her understanding of the human body and taught her to observe it from every angle. Through competition, she developed a keen eye for symmetry, muscular imbalance, and physical detail in a way that extended beyond what could be learned from textbooks alone.
Her experience as both a trainer and bodybuilding competitor ultimately led Christine to pursue clinical manual therapy, where she could bring together her understanding of movement, performance, and hands-on care. She has completed her Registered Massage Therapy education and is currently awaiting her licensing examination. This training has further strengthened her ability to bridge the gap between rehabilitation, recovery, and performance.
Christine takes a thoughtful, whole-body approach to treatment. She looks beyond the area of discomfort to identify movement restrictions, muscular imbalances, and other contributing factors that may be affecting how a client feels and functions.
Her treatment philosophy is centered around functional longevity. She believes care should go beyond short-term relief, with the goal of helping clients build resilience, move with greater confidence, maintain strength and physical capacity, and age more resiliently.
Whether someone is recovering from an injury, managing persistent tension or discomfort, returning to training, or looking to improve overall movement and recovery, Christine strives to provide individualized care that supports both immediate needs and long-term physical well-being.
Christine is fluent in both English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Derek was born and raised in Richmond, BC, and completed both his Master of Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia. He has also completed his AIM Orthopaedic Level 1 Manual Therapy Certification, providing him with a strong foundation in evidence-based assessment, clinical reasoning, and hands-on treatment.
Having grown up playing hockey, Derek developed an early appreciation for athletic performance, teamwork, and the physical demands of sport. Today, he remains active through golf, running, basketball, and racquet sports, particularly pickleball . He has a special interest in helping golfers, runners, and racquet-sport athletes recover from injury, improve their movement, and return to their sport with confidence.
Derek understands the unique demands each activity places on the body, from the rotational strength and mobility required for an efficient golf swing, to the impact tolerance needed for running, and the speed, coordination, and changes of direction involved in pickleball and tennis.
Having experienced sports injuries himself, Derek understands how frustrating it can be when pain or injury prevents you from training, competing, or participating in the activities you enjoy. His own rehabilitation experiences showed him that physiotherapy can do more than reduce pain—it can help rebuild strength, restore movement, and improve confidence in the body.
Derek takes a collaborative, movement-focused approach to treatment. Whether you are managing a golf-related back or shoulder injury, trying to return to running, or experiencing pain on the pickleball or tennis court, he works to identify the factors contributing to your symptoms and creates a treatment plan tailored to the demands of your sport.
During treatment, Derek combines hands-on techniques, including soft tissue therapy, trigger point release, and joint mobilizations, with individualized exercise and strength programming. He places a strong emphasis on movement quality, progressive loading, and helping clients understand how each part of their rehabilitation connects to their sport and performance goals.
In addition to working with athletes, Derek’s experience in both athletic and hospital settings allows him to support clients recovering from joint replacements, stroke, falls, workplace or motor vehicle accidents, and post-surgical procedures.
Whether your goal is to get back on the golf course, return to running, move more confidently on the pickleball court, or simply become stronger and more active, Derek strives to create sessions that are welcoming, progressive, and focused on helping you perform at your best.
Derek is fluent in both English and Mandarin.
